It’s got Integrated 3.5G GSM HSDPA WWAN as well as 802.11a/b/g WiFi… and when you speak of transportation and logistics you must have someway of telling where your fleet is. Nokia C6

Nokia's C6 is designed for those who want the touch version of Nokia's S60 operating system plus a slide out keyboard. With the newer touch-enabled Symbian S^3 operating system now hitting the streets in the N8, on paper the C6 feels a bit old hat, though there's no ^3 handset available with a slide out keyboard yet.

The Nokia C6 has a 3.2-inch screen which is resistive rather than capacitive. This means it needs a bit more of a press than capacitive screens do. One problem we've always had with Symbian S60 5th Edition is that you sometimes need to double tap menu options to make selections, while sometimes a single tap will do. You'll get used to which is which in the long term, but the initial stages of use can be irritating as you tap an option and nothing happens; because a second tap is needed to complete the

5 Most Expected Features of iPhone 5

A gadget has become the hottest discussion of the tech world these days. This gadget hasn’t been launched, still its popularity is touching the sky day-by-day. Yups, we are talking about iPhone 5; a gadget which is flying like hotcake in the tech world
As the time is passing and the days of official launching of iPhone 5 are coming near, the discussion about it is increasing dramatically. By the way, when iPhone 4 was launched, there were some features which people expected from it but they didn’t get them in it. So there are also some features which users are expecting from this version of iPhone. So here’s the list of 5 most expected features of iPhone 5-

1. Multi Touch Gestures
iOS 4.3 GM came with a feature named multi touch gestures. The feature enabled users in using only 4-5 fingers to perform several tasks (i.e. a 5 finger pinch would take you to the home screen). So it is the first most expected feature from iPhone 5.

2. Lack of Home Button
Users think that there is no need of a hardware home button when one can switch between the apps with just a 4 finger pinch! But it is a major hardware change; so I don’t think that Apple will do it.

3. 1GHz Dual Core CPU
We know that iPad 2 already features an A5 chip, so we can expect it from our iPhone 5 also. An A5 chip is a chip with 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 ( may be A9 also). According to Jobs, the A5 chip is 2 times faster CPU and 9 times faster GPU.

4. 512 MB Ram
iPad 2 has got the 512 MB Ram. So users are also expecting the same in their iPhone. But the chances of this change are very rare.

5. Availability of iPhone 5 from the First day of its launch
Either it is a case of iPad or of iPhone, users always want the availability of the white device from the first day of its launch. So it is also a most demanded feature of iPhone 5.

So these were the top 5 most wanted features of iPhone 5. Now lets see if Apple completes the expectations of its users in this version of iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy Mini

One of the entry-level Android smartphones announced earlier this year, Galaxy Mini will be launched by T-Mobile USA as Samsung Dart.

As expected, the Dart will be available on the market starting June 15th, but no information about the smartphone's price has been leaked yet.

However, it appears that T-Mobile plans to get the device cheaper, and thus offer it to its customers at a better price, but at a loss of some features that have been changed.

It appears that Samsung Dart will be delivered with a 2-megapixel camera instead of the 3.2-megapixel photo snapper that is included with the original Galaxy Mini.

Furthermore, customers won't be able to choose from different color schemes, as the Samsung Dart will only come in gray color option.

Samsung Dart is equipped with a low-performance ARM 600MHz processor and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo out-of-the-box.

It comes with a 3.14-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen with 262K colors support, 240 x 320 pixels resolution, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, TouchWiz v3.0 UI, Swype text input method and proximity sensor for auto turn-off.

Even though it's a low-budget phone, Galaxy mini features HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, along with 160 MB of internal memory and microSD card for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB card included).

Other key features of the smartphone include 3.5 mm audio jack, DNSe sound enhancement, Stereo FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, microUSB 2.0, GPS with A-GPS support, as well as Digital compass.

The phone is powered by a standard Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery that should provide up to 570 hours of standby time or up to 9 hours and 30 minutes of talk time.

Transparent Concept

CPT002 is a concept phone that combines the latest technologies with a luxury and elegant design. It was created by Mobiado and will be showcased at BaselWorld in Switzerland. Read more

Coming soon at iida in Japan, the X-RAY Solid Stand was created for the X-RAY clear phone. Like the handset, the stand is transparent and stylish and while holding the phone, it enables a floating illusion. Both the X-RAY phone and the transparent stand were designed by Tokujin Yoshioka
If I’ll write an article about the hottest phones of 2010, this handset would surely be included. The model is named X-RAY and was designed by Tokujin Yoshioka for the Japanese market. It features a unique design for a cell phone, borrowed from transparent computer cases Transparent phone design concepts are my favorite and I’d really like to use one, but the one features by GadgetHer looks too futuristic and almost impossible to create, at least at the moment.
RFR Designers, founded by Riccardo Delle Donne, Fabio Merzari and Raffaele Pennazzi, see the next-generation iPhone as a transparent mobile phone featuring a display consisting of two OLED screens with shape memory alloy, which roll inside when the handset is closed I’m sure you’ll love this cell phone and want to have one, but it’s just a design concept at the moment, not even a prototype. I didn’t find its name, but it was designed by Seunghan Song as a fully transparent handset capable of making accurate weather forecasts by changing its appearance to reflect the upcoming weather conditions

nokia similar

At a time when environment friendly products are important and in demand, Nokia has come up with the concept to roll out 40 new models that use bio degradable components which include biodegradable phone covers and recyclable battery that are energy efficient and non toxic. This announcement came from D Shivakumar who is the VP and managing director of Nokia India.

Nokia has already abolished the use of polyvinyl chloride in all phones. The 3110 from Nokia was earlier launched with components that were 65% recyclable. The new environment friendly models will be launched by the end of the year. Normally, mobile phones contain non-biodegradable and toxic materials like cadmium, lithium in their batteries which can harm the environment if not disposed off properly.

Nokia is also taking the initiative to invest in “green bins” at all its priority centers where customers can drop in their old phones for recycling purposes. That is a great step from Nokia towards a healthy and environment friendly life, hoping all others market players will follow suit.

Samsung P520

The Samsung P520 is an elegant touch-screen phone with a 3 megapixel camera. Fitting into the same product range as the P310 "Card Phone" and bearing a resemblence to the LG Prada, the SGH-P520 can be considered to be something of a competitor for the Apple iPhone.

The large 2.6" 240x320 pixel touchscreen is the most striking feature on the SGH-P520, along with the strikingly minimalist design. As with the P310, there's a carry case available which protects the handset and also makes it look quite stylish.

The SGH-P520 is quite compact for a large-screen phone, measuring 88 x 54 x 8.9mm and weighing 102 grams. It should be noted that the size and weight excludes the case.

Of course, there's a multimedia player and the Samsung P520 also has microSD expandable memory and stereo Bluetooth. So, it looks to be a well-rounded device.

nokia C5

espite Nokia's absence on the show floor at the most important communication event, the Mobile World Congress, we can apparently prepare ourselves for a new series of Nokia smartphones. Recently leaked information points to new series of cell phones, the Nokia C-series, which includes the Nokia C5 mobile phone. The first cell phone specifications seem to suggest that it will not be a spectacular high-end phone, but we estimate that the Nokia C5 smartphone will be place in the middle segment. And for a change we are not even talking about an Android phone, but about a Nokia Symbian S60 mobile phone, which should also be fun for a change
The image material that was made with the Nokia C5 is as the usual rumors tell us, not of the highest quality, but we can still distinguish very specific attributes of a Nokia phone.  It is very familiar to us, and therefore not very exciting, but rather conservative...typically Nokia. In terms of the camera, Nokia is also holding back, as the Nokia C5 is equipped with a 3.2 Megapixel camera. That is fine for a camera phone, as the majority of users will not do anything more with it than share and show it on a screen.

For faster communication, as long as the provider's network cooperates and offers good coverage, the Nokia C5 smartphone supports HSDPA/HSUPA. This Nokia smartphone's display is pretty meager, with only 2.2 inches. Perhaps Nokia will include a free mini magnifying glass with the Nokia C5, when it is to be used for navigation. The Nokia C5 supports GPS and A-GPS. The Nokia phone's internal memory has 50MBs, but can be extended with a microSD memory card. The official introduction  mor ditals .

HTC's Shift with HSDPA and SnapVue gets a ship date

Although it feels like it's already launched, the HTC Shift with HSDPA data just received its final push out the door today. Nothing new spec-wise to report. It's still the same 7-inch, touch-sensitive "slide-n-tilt" device sporting HTC's new SnapVUE shell -- a Sideshow-like, Windows Mobile-like, information display with its own dedicated processor for instant access to your email, SMS, calendar and contacts without booting into Vista. While the 2 days of SnapVUE standby time is indeed stellar, the 2-hours of Vista juice is generation-one UMPC pathetic. Available "across Europe" starting November for an undisclosed price.

Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X10

Bigger isn’t always better, but when it comes to some things – like a touchscreen display – size really does matter. Seriously, who doesn’t think their smartphone’s touchscreen could use a little more size? Well, if you had Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X10, you probably wouldn’t be left wondering what it feels like to have an Android phone with enough screen real estate to meet your needs. The company’s first Android smartphone boasts the largest capacitive touchscreen of any Android phone, and it puts it to good use. We had a chance to get some time to play with Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, and we came away impressed.

There’s been a lot of talk about the Nexus One being the best Android phone available today (we’ve contributed to that conversation), but that’s only because the Xperia X10 hasn’t yet launched. With a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel camera and the usual complement of high-end smartphone goodies (GPS, WiFi, microSD, and so on), the X10 is at least on the same level as the Nexus One. When it comes to aesthetics, the X10 may very well have the Nexus One beat. The X10′s thin bezel surrounding the display makes Sony Ericsson Android phone look like one giant touchscreen display. That’s awesome, if you’re into that sort of thing, and you know you are.

The X10 employs a custom Sony Ericsson Timescape UI, which is actually more of an app than a UI. The X10 still works with a mostly vanilla Android homescreen, but switches to the timeline-based Timescape UI by way of an app. There’s also a Mediascape UI that focuses on only multimedia content. The overall user experience is fairly intuitive and definitely fun to use. Transitions are as smooth as they are eye-catching, and the UI design is only rivaled by the X10′s industrial design. As for build-quality and fit/finish, you’ll get what you pay for – which might not be a small amount.

Check out our Xperia X10 video and photo gallery below to see for yourself what Sony Ericsson’s new Android phone can do.
