LG Mobail

LG may be up to something more eco-friendly once 2012 comes. Known for having offered various eco-friendly handsets in the past, LG has announced that they will be making use of Eco-Magnesium alloys by 2012.

These new eco-friendly alloys were developed by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology. Its main benefit is eliminating the emission of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), which is believed to be an incredibly damaging greenhouse gas.

The initiative will contribute to the growing problem of greenhouse gas emissions, not to mention a new phone that should capture the ire of techies and people going agog over new mobile handsets.
