Nokia is one of the largest manufacturers in the mobile industry from Finland. They always create various new phones for their users so they will not feel any drawback in any mobile phones. Once again they are coming with a little phone in coming few months i.e. Nokia C3 Touch and Type. As their touch screen phones are already in the market which are either fully touch screen operated which have QWERTY keyboard in it. But it is not with the Nokia c3 touch and type phone, as it has the convenience of both the things i.e. to use the touch screen and a full usability of the keyboard too. Samsung SGH-P300 - Super Slim Mobile

Mobile phones have become fashion icons, there’s no doubt about that. No longer is your phone simply a communication tool, now it’s as important as the suit on your back or the watch on your wrist. After all, there’s no point strapping the latest Tag Heuer to your arm and then pulling out a three year old, brick like mobile – that’s definitely not creating the right image now is it.

Mobile phone manufacturers have made the most of this somewhat sad social evolution, by creating smaller, sleeker and more stylish phones that appeal to our vanity. Can you remember the very first Motorola StarTac? It cost £1,400 and it wasn’t even that small. But despite the exorbitant price, fashion victims rushed out in droves to purchase the StarTac, behaviour that we saw repeated last year with Nokia’s 8800.
But even if you can’t afford to spend silly money on a phone, manufacturers still want you to use their particular hardware, and will do their best to make their particular handset look more sleek and stylish than the competition. Motorola tried this with the PEBL and now Samsung is trying to make waves with its new SGH-P300.

There’s no denying that the P300 is very slim and light, but I’m not sure I agree with Samsung’s website which states “At only 9mm, it is as thin as a credit card”. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have any credit cards that are 9mm thick – if I did I’d have a hell of a time fitting my wallet in my pocket. Perhaps what Samsung meant was that the P300 is the same height and width as a credit card – exactly the same in fact.

The P300 definitely feels well made – the front fascia and rear battery panel are brushed steel, while the plastics employed feel equally robust. It has the “cold to the touch” quality feel, that no doubt helped sales of the Nokia 8800 as well. But unlike Nokia’s steel encased fashion icon, and Samsungs own superb D600, the P300 isn’t comfortable to hold. You see, quoting the same dimensions as a credit card may sound good on paper, and may even have been good in practice when the Motorola StarTac was around, but by today’s standards the width o

Nokia 8800 Arte and Nokia 8800 Arte Sapphire

Nokia however, have just unveiled two new models that maintain the breath-taking style of the aforementioned phones and boast some serious features too. The 8800 ‘Arte’ and the 8800 ‘Arte Sapphire’ are the two new models in question, easily differentiated by colour, the ‘Arte’ is black and the ‘Arte Sapphire’ is brown and by the whole sapphire mounted in the centre of the ‘Arte Sapphire’s’ D-pad.

Both are 3G phones and have 3-megapixel auto-focus cameras and a massive 1GB of internal memory! Their elegant slider design helps maintain a fuss-free front panel, broken only by the D-pad control and inside the flashy box, a linen-lined pouch to keep your phone safe and warm and a Bluetooth headset can be found.

However, Mobile handset giant Nokia announced launch of their stylish phone Nokia Saphire 8800 Arte in India. The mobile phone has a distinct look and it is priced at Rs. 62,829. Thats real hefty and makes it a choice of only style concious as well money unconcious.

The phone support 2.0″ QVGA 240×320 pixels, OLED display provides up to 16 million colors and has also got a light sensor that can automatically adjust to screen brightness as desired. The phone has got 3G capabilities and offers support for Bluetooth connectivity while Wifi is missing.

Its sorts 1GB inbuilt memory and support almost all popular music formats which includes AAC, eAAC+, MP3, MIDI, AMR, and WMA As with the previous Nokia 8800 phones, the ‘Arte’ pair are constructed using the highest quality materials and have a special fingerprint retardant coating on the panels, with the ‘Arte Sapphire’ going one better by having a soft-touch Indian Goat-hide covering too! One can never accuse Nokia of not thinking differently!

sony-ericsson-arc

Equipped with a big 4.2-inch Reality Display screen (854 x 480 pixels), the Xperia Arc is nevertheless very slim (8.7 mm). This is reinforced by its pared down look and weight (only 117g).

It has an HDMI out to play the videos you've shot with it on a TV, an 8 Mpixel sensor (the new minimum required on high end devices so it seems), integrates DLNA and has a Qualcomm CPU clocked at 1 GHz.

The phone screen uses the same technology as Sony Bravia TVs. According to Sony Ericsson, this is what gives it its slimline screen and is the company's answer to Apple's Retina and Samsung's Super AMOLED technologies, which do offer very high quality displays (read our screen duel
The Arc will be on sale in the course of the first quarter. Pricing hasn't yet been confirmed.

The PlayStation Phone, is now waiting in the wings, readying itself for its CES appearance.

Nokia E5 Symbian S60 handset revealed

Rounding off the set of new handsets revealed today by Nokia at their Everyone Connect event is the Nokia E5.

Cheap as chips at an expected £160, the Nokia E5 is far smarter than the budget price tag should allow for. Running Symbian S60, the phone features a wealth of connectivity options including HSDPA, Wi-Fi, a-GPs locating, as well as microSD expansion options and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

A full four line QWERTY handset, the E5 has extensive messaging, social network and email support, including Exchange support.

While the E5's 2.4 inch QVGA screen isn't anything to write home about, it's a good-looking QWERTY with a mouth watering price.

Expect to see the E5 hit stores in late Summer of the Autumn.

Palm Pre Plus

Palm's CES 2010 press conference didn't offer nearly as much fanfare as last year's event, where the company unveiled the Palm Pre. But Palm did announce new phones, a software update, and new partnerships, proving that this once-struggling handset company is not just a one-trick pony.

The biggest announcement at today's event was one that has been rumored for weeks: Palm confirmed that it is launching updated versions of its two webOS phones. The new phones, the Palm Pre Plus and the Pixi Plus, have not been redesigned in any major way, but both received vital updates. Both handsets will be available exclusively from Verizon Wireless on January 25. Pricing has not been announced, but considering that the Pre and Pixi are currently available on Sprint for $150 and $100, respectively, I expect the Pre Plus will cost a little less than $200 and the Pixi Plus will be close to $100.

Pre Get Subtle Updates

The Pre Plus looks almost identical to its predecessor, except for one subtle difference: the hardware button for closing applications has been removed. Palm didn't give a reason beyond saying that the change gave the Pre Plus a more refined and elegant look. I predict closing apps on the Palm Pre Plus will work similarly to the Pixi; you simply tap the gesture bar and the app closes.

Sony Ericsson Xperia ray

has unveiled a trio of new devices, including a pair of Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphones and a QWERTY featurephone for the messaging-obsessed. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA ray looks a whole lot like the X10, but is considerably smaller, Crave reports, with a 3.3-inch 854 x 480 touchscreen, 9.4mm thick chassis and 100g weight.

It still has room for an 8.1-megapixel camera, however, and Sony Ericsson splashes on their custom UI (with, we’re assuming, Facebook Inside XPERIA integration). It’ll arrive in Q3 2011, in a choice of black, pink, gold or white.

Then there’s the Sony Ericsson XPERIA active, and as the name suggests it’s all about sporty types who worry about accidentally dunking their phone in water or getting it sweaty. The 3-inch scratch-resistant display runs at 320 x 480 resolution but can apparently be more easily controlled with wet fingers – fingers that may have been dampened as you retrieve the XPERIA active from the 1m deep water it can survive being submerged in for up to 30 minutes. It’s dustproof as well (though we guess the water would’ve washed that off already) and has GPS and Bluetooth along with a barometer. It too will arrive in Q3 2011.

Finally, there’s the Sony Ericsson txt, a non-sliding version of the QWERTY txt pro outed last month. A keyboard-encrusted candybar, it has a 2.6-inch display and borrows the Android UI though runs it on a featurephone OS. It’ll drop in Q4 2011.
